I've decided to post photos of the painting/ drawing I started tonight in stages so I can show how it develops over time. Now That I've pretty much finished uni I want to get back into doing my own thing, so I bought some artboard from office works and am doing a fairly large scale drawing but I want to incorporate layers of soft paint with it as well....I guess you'll know if it all goes wrong if I stop posting anymore photos haha

I have 5 days of uni left forever! and 3 more assignments to hand in ( Ok, so I was only doing three subjects this semester) but I'm right on track..kind of... If the track is just a little bit wonky.

So apart from having a massive celebration this weekend! I have lots to look forward to because once I'm done I can start earning money and spend time on doing lots of the artwork and stuff I would love to be doing all of the time. It will also mean more attention to my deprived little blog.

Possible Hidden Treasures...

I tend to experiment with things like paint and then get really annoyed and don't like what I've created.. ultimately resulting in it going in one of my piles that I never show anyone. So for this post I decided to take a look through the scanned images folder on my computer and chuck up some of the things that never got a second look. ( The skull did, but it was just sitting there with the rest so I thought it deserved some blog space). I don't know whether I like the others, something about both of them has turned me off at some point but I think coming back to them a second time I'm a little less harsh on myself, anyway like them or not here they are.

It was beautiful weather a little while ago ( lucky I enjoyed it because it's shit at the moment!). 

I was sitting outside and started to paint/draw my logo on a canvas... the end result is much better than in the images but I'm still working on it sporadically.

I got my brand spanking new business cards the other day too, I'll have to post them soon. Anyway thats it :)

Perhaps not so private now that I am about to share mine with you but I did say I would post before and after photos of my new room. I have also added things I have in my room that I either really like, use as a source of inspiration or both. 


By the way I FINALLY got an internet connection in the new house today so there shouldn't be as much lag time between my posts from now on...


And I'm LOVING this weather at the moment, went for a run on the beach this morning and a swim in the pool this arvo, sorry to all of you in colder climates ;)

New Cushions I got on sale at Harvey Norman, they were $60 down to $10. I don't know how people can spend $60 on a cushion but i like the gold sequins and the gold 'crocodile skin'

hello hello, I have wanted to post this clip up for a while but apparently nothing technical seems to be working today so I've come to accept that and am settling for what you can see. I created it by taking a photo of the above drawing every few minutes while I drew it.

 Today has been fairly frustrating, it started out on a good note with a walk and some exercise down at Burleigh Heads, followed by the most amazing juice ever! ( banana, pineapple, kiwi, mint and ginger),went to work for a couple of hours and now I'm attempting to wrap my head around the construction of my new website. Long story short, as I said... nothing technical is going right. 

 I got some chips and mentos from the vending machine and have chowed down on all the mentos in about 2 minutes... maybe I can test the theory of whether mentos really does make your life easier like it used to for everyone in their ads. Maybe I could go up to the road, stick my packet of mentos out and an amazing web technician will step out of his car and help me, doubt it. On the flipside, I do have extremely fresh breath.

Sorry it's been a little while between posts, I have been moving house! I love my new room at the moment but it has no internet :( so I have left my computer at our old house for a few days and am doing random trips back to use it. I felt bad neglecting my little blog so I did a little something something tonight, little miss cranium :) Hope you like her...I'm off to have dinner even though it's 9.30 at night, see my blog IS important! I got my new mattress today by the way, I put it on my new bed and covered it in new sheets, can't wait to enter dream world! nighty night.

Hello again! I have something very important to share with you all...as you can see by the very select but amazing group of followers I have at the moment, my blog is very new. Something simple for a Tuesday... I found a cool stock image of feathers that I edited and wanted to do something with it.

I backed out of my usual gym session on Tuesday nights which I feel a little bad about but I think I needed a bit of a break. Spent the weekend painting my new room (note to everyone out there: don't paint a blue bedroom, bathroom and walk in robe white unless you want to do at least 3 coats.) But it looks 1000 times better now... hope you're all having a good night. Jess

Nothing's Permanent

Hello for the first time this week. Far out! what a busy week it's been, I can feel the end of my last semester of uni is looming.... too much to do already. I made myself have a 'break' tonight though and do something especially for you guys. I hope you like it. 

I'm pretty excited for the weekend, we're moving into a new house over the next couple of weeks, I bought a new bed last night and this weekend I'm painting my room! Ill have to put some photos up to show you before and afters.

I used to go to school with Rachel and I love her a lot. We haven't hung out a lot since school finished which normally happens when you start living your own life but she's beautiful inside and out as you can see. I had a great day with her, these are a couple of the shots we finished up with. xx

water has its colours.

First post of the week, and I thought I'd put up some things I had been experimenting with tonight.. a lot of the artwork I have done has been influenced by fashion photography and these are no different. 


I've also put my brand new logo as the header.. as you can see the colours in it at the moment match this post and each week the pattern inside it will change :)


I'm doing a photoshoot this Sunday with another one of my friends so hopefully Ill pop a couple of those up Sunday night.

Took these today of my friend, a random idea... wear a mans op shop armani jacket and hop in the shower! turned out cool though, I really like them.
